Currency and pricing
All prices on our website and all charges are processed in United States dollars (USD). The price shown on the product page is the price you pay at checkout. Any applicable United States sales tax is calculated and displayed at checkout before you complete your order, based on your shipping destination, so there are no surprises after you buy.
When your payment is taken
When you place an order, you authorize Haffords and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the total shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes. By submitting your order, you confirm that you are the authorized holder of, or are otherwise permitted to use, the payment method you provide. If a payment is declined or cannot be verified, your order may be delayed or cancelled, and we will contact you where possible to resolve the issue.

Your security is built into every step of checkout. Our store uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption, which scrambles the information you enter so it cannot be read by anyone intercepting the connection. All payments on our site are handled through Shopify Payments and our other supported processors, which are certified compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). This means your card information is handled to the same rigorous standard used across the payments industry.
How your payment information is handled
Your full card number, expiration date, and security code (CVV) are processed directly by our PCI-compliant payment provider and are never stored on Haffords' own servers. After an order is placed, the information we can see is limited to your billing and shipping details, the items you purchased, and the last four digits of your card for reference and customer-service purposes. We never have access to your complete card details.
Fraud prevention
To protect both you and our store, orders may be screened for signs of fraud or unauthorized use. We reserve the right to verify your identity or billing details, to request additional information, or to refuse or cancel any order that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent or to violate our Terms of Service. Where we cancel an order for this reason, any payment taken is refunded.
