This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Haffords (operated by Ecomsonic LLC) collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've written it to meet our obligations under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Our store runs on Shopify, which processes data on our behalf to make the service work.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect: your name and contact details; billing and shipping addresses; order and payment confirmation details (we never see full card numbers); account credentials and preferences; messages you send us; and technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, and how you move through the site.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you when you order, register or get in touch; automatically through cookies and similar technologies as you browse; and from the service providers (such as our payment and shipping partners) who help us run the store.
Why we use it
We use your information to process and deliver orders, take payment, provide customer service, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and — where you've allowed it — to send you offers and improve what we show you. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, or as required by tax, accounting and other laws, after which it's deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
We use encryption in transit and other safeguards appropriate to the data. No online system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the authorities if a serious breach ever occurs.
International transfers
Your information may be processed outside your home country, including in the US. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.
Children
Our store isn't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
